CFB 26: Try These Teams in Dynasty Mode for a Fresh Experience
Here are some teams you can take into dynasty mode for a fresh experience -- plus the best way to approach them.
CFB 26’s dynasty mode has consumed my life in the past month more than it has at any other point in the year, and I’m not sure why that is, but I’m giving in to it.
I discussed recruiting in-depth a couple weeks ago, then last week I talked a lot about how Madden could “college-ize” itself a bit, and today is all about picking teams in CFB that give the game a fresh taste.
For those who want to read any premium newsletters, you can do so with the free trial, no matter whether you have done the 30-day free trial in the past or not.
If you want to hang with your fellow OSers, here’s your weekly reminder to also join the OS Discord if you want to chat with me or others from the community. If you sign-up for the premium newsletter, send a direct message to either Rob S (thekernelpop) or ChaseB (chucklesbiscotti) on Discord, and either one of us will add you to the extra Supporters area on Discord, and we have a snazzy role and badge to give you on there, too.
We also have an official OS app! You can download it now on Google Play and iOS. We have put out multiple updates the past couple weeks. If you have trouble loading the app after previously downloading it (especially on iOS), delete it and then re-download the app. We also have a survey up now if you want to give feedback on the app.
All of us get to the point in the year where we’re looking for new challenges or ways to breathe fresh life into our franchise modes, and that is my goal here today. I want to throw some teams your way to consider.
Some of them might be obvious, and I’m hoping others are a little less so, because there are 136 teams to choose from, and that’s without considering what you can do with Team Builder.
But I’m not just going to say, “pick these teams, you’re welcome.” Instead, I’m going to run through some categories and storylines that help to frame why each one is an interesting choice, and why each one might be intriguing for a different reason.
This will include things like the playbook/style of the team, the default assistant coaches, the Year 1 approach, long-term goals, and the positives/negatives overall for each team.
I have both big and small schools on the list, so we’re going to dance around the Team Prestige levels and touch every corner of college football with these picks.
With that said, let’s jump into things and get to the first team.
