College Football 26 All-In-One Dynasty Setup and In-Depth Recruiting Guide (Part 2)
We're back for Part 2, which is all about recruiting, the transfer portal, roster management, player progression, and the coaching carousel
I want to thank everyone who signed up last week for my new premium newsletter. I’m honored by anyone who would give anything back to OS like that and entrust me with your time each week. We still have the 30-day free trial running through August 4 if anyone else is looking to test the waters. If you missed it, here is why I wanted to launch the premium newsletter. I’m also taking feedback via the usual email ([email protected]), over on the forums via DMs, or in this thread for what you’d like to see out of the premium newsletter because I want it to be shaped by anyone who subscribes. This also includes potentially gathering a bunch of us for an Online Dynasty where once a month I do a full write-up in the newsletter on what’s been happening in our dynasty and hopefully share highlights and thoughts on the league with you all. Think of it as the SportsCenter/Weekly Wrap-Up we don’t get in the game that we all wish we had. If you have interest in being part of something like that, let me know via email and I’ll see if we get enough members to make it worth it — albeit it’s obviously for subscribers first and foremost).
Part one of this all-in-one guide was really more about building the foundation of your dynasty and giving you options for your dynasty setup. This week’s part of the guide is more about the actual “strategy” and how to get the most out of recruiting and your team overall, plus how to approach the offseason and your coaching staff. I’ll obviously give you helpful tips and insights, but I also want you to understand certain mechanics overall so you can come up with your own recruiting style.
This means we’re going to start by looking at our initial “board” and how to approach finding players you want to have on it. There are a lot of factors that go into setting up this initial board, and “Preseason” is arguably the most important recruiting week for that reason alone because if you don’t understand how to start a “good” board with 35 targets on it, you will be behind all season long — and this hurts even more in an Online Dynasty format with the crew.
